Fr. Jeremiah hails from Forestville, NY, near Buffalo, and moved to Ocala, FL with his family in the early 1980s. While he was not raised in any religion, Fr. Jeremiah surrendered his life to Jesus Christ on his own as a teenager and found a spiritual home in a local Pentecostal faith community. After discovering and assiduously studying the Early Church Fathers, however, he came to believe the obvious truth that the Catholic Church is the one true Church founded by Jesus Christ; consequently, he "came home" in 1998. From his Pentecostal seminary, Fr. Jeremiah transferred to Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH and Ave Maria College in Ypsilanti, MI, after which he attended St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach. In 2007, he was ordained to the sacred priesthood for the Diocese of Orlando. For two years, he served as parochial vicar at St. Margaret Mary in Winter Park and as chaplain of Bishop Moore Catholic High School in College Park. From 2009-2011, he was assigned to post-graduate studies in dogmatic theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, specializing in sacramental theology and ecumenism. Upon his return, he served for three years as an assistant professor of systematic theology at his alma mater, St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary. Following this assignment, he served for two years as parochial vicar at Holy Name of Jesus in Indialantic. Before being assigned as pastor of All Souls last summer, Fr. Jeremiah served as pastor of St. Joseph’s in Palm Bay for six years. His interests and hobbies include theology, Ignatian spirituality, cinema, music, reading, travel, canoeing, aviation, craft beer, Notre Dame and Buffalo Bills Football, and a healthy dose of '80s nostalgia ("totally tubular, dude!").
Come experience the brotherhood and be inspired!
